What is the She Writes AI directory?
It’s a living list of women & non-binary people worldwide who write on Substack about artificial intelligence, machine learning, & data on ethics, privacy, governance, applications, & business.
Why is this She Writes AI site being created to host it?
This directory grew rapidly in its first six months, from 34 to 400+. (For more backstory, see the main directory post.) The initial practice of updating a single ‘living’ directory post became unwieldy. It also limited the visibility of directory updates for subscribers who aren’t active in Substack Notes. So from now on, individual posts on She Writes AI (like this one!) will be used to announce new additions to the directory.
This site will also enable us to build out community features to better support the women and nonbinary writers in our directory. For more on the ideas we’re exploring, see our About page.
